Dulu, e-mail lazim ditampilkan satu per satu berdasarkan kiriman yang masuk. Alhasil, Anda akan kesulitan ketika membutuhkan rentetan percakapan yang terkait.

Di Outlook 2010, kelemahan ini telah diatasi. Program ini telah mengadaptasi konsep yang mirip dengan Outlook Mobile yang ada di Windows Phone. Pesan yang terkait bisa ditampilkan berbarengan dalam satu kelompok. Dengan begini, aktivitas e-mail jadi mirip chatting. Kita bisa melihat history percakapan yang telah dilakukan secara instan.

Untuk mengonfigurasi model percakapan baru ala Outlook Mobile ini, ikuti langkah berikut.

1.   Jalankan Outlook 2010 melalui menu “Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Outlook 2010”.

2.    Klik tab “View”, lalu perhatikan bagian Arrangement. Ada tombol “Conversation” besar dengan segi tiga di bawahnya. Klik tombol tersebut.

3.    Pastikan ada tanda cek di depan opsi “Show Message in Conversation”.

4.   Berikan tanda cek di depan “Show Messages in Other Folders”. Opsi ini akan membuat Outlook menampilkan pembicaraan yang ada di Sent Item maupun Inbox.

5.    Untuk menampilkan semua pembicaraan sekaligus, berikan tanda cek di “Always Expand Conversation”.

6.    Sekarang, coba klik salah satu e-mail balasan yang Anda terima. Di bawahnya akan muncul sederetan percakapan melalui e-mail dengan subyek dan topik yang sama.
